Branding, Logo, Emblem
Mamukko
Mamukko is a new eco-friendly, boutique-style production concept where sixth-generation leather craftsmanship meets first-generation recycling skills. It uniquely brings together family heritage by combining traditional leatherworking with recycled marine materials that have reached the end of their lifecycle. Skills inherited from previous generations intersect with today’s sustainability culture, while handcrafted, small-batch, functional products are created in the heart of Kinsale.
The visual identity developed for Mamukko embraces both the brand’s artisanal heritage and its commitment to sustainability. The logo emblem is derived from a traditional, family-owned leather embossing stamp—a inherited motif that conveys craftsmanship and cultural continuity. The use of the classic Helvetica typeface reinforces the brand’s timelessness and professionalism.
The color palette—black, white, and orange—is built on strong contrasts. Black and white communicate clarity and reliability, while orange adds energy and creative vibrancy. The identity system is modular and highly adaptable across both print and digital platforms. A key design element is the series of minimalist pictograms created for each recycled material used by the brand. These icons visually support Mamukko’s eco-conscious narrative, accompanied by concise, impactful slogans that further reinforce the sustainability message.
